Oak & Otter Retreat

Oak & Otter retreat was a true gem. The house is clean, spacious, updated, and extremely comfortable. It has been nicely stocked with everything needed to enjoy a worry-free vacation. You can cook inside or grill on the deck. We loved sitting on the dock in the amazingly comfortable adirondack chairs, looking across the pond. The yard offers privacy, and the Oak Ridge Road circle is a nice walking loop for dogs or people. The neighbors are kind folks. The overall experience was great.

Despite signs of wear and tear since my last stay in 2021, I would have given a better rating if the one major problem had been solved. One of the highlights of visiting in NH is watching my favorite baseball team, the Red Sox. I could not access the Xfinity network and called for help Tuesday morning. Followed instructions, but it would not load. Called again on Wednesday - no response. Called Thursday and Cory made an appointment for Friday morning. He, in conjunction with one of the sons, worked for over an hour, getting the same results as I. Received an email saying that the Dad had to be consulted and, since he was in Europe, it might be several days before they heard back. From that day forward, I heard nothing up to checking out on the 30th, ten days later. The biggest question is why Comcast wasn't called when no one could get Xfinity to load? Why was there no follow-up?
